Remember Shrinky Dinks?

Anyone remember Shrinky Dinks? I had not seen them in years…since my kids were little and that was a couple of decades ago. My grandson and I were in a toy store the other day and there they were. He had not ever seen them so I tried to explain what they would do when we put them in the oven. Sometimes you just have to see something to believe it. I explained to him that his mother and his uncles use to do these all the time. He said, ”Really Mommy did these?” […]

Thankful For a Choice and Creating My Own Legacy

Who would have thought when I woke up this morning that it would be a day of breakthroughs in my own legacy work? I didn’t plan it…it just happened. As I was consulting regarding capturing my Dad’s legacy, it became clear that it was time to start capturing and passing along mine as well. I mean the personal part…Legacy Letters, my story, my values and beliefs that I want my kids and grandkids to know. I have the “paper stuff” done, but not the personal piece. Don’t get me wrong I feel great about […]

Life Purpose

I had a great mediation this morning on Life Purpose. I had always thought of it as singular. What is that big overriding “thing” that I am to accomplish. However, Deepak Chopra opened up the possibility for me to think of it as a journey. That was so freeing. It isn’t like you have to figure out your Life Purpose all at once. There isn’t just one. Each day you can think of your purpose AND there can be the bigger mission or purpose in your life. And it shifts and changes as you […]

Expressing Yourself

Today I was reading a meditation from the Deepak Meditation Series called “Expressing Yourself”. It resonated with me because that is exactly what creating your unique legacy is about. It spoke to the uniqueness of your existence. There are no people alike. That has always fascinated and amazed me. It was especially present when each of my children were born and now with each grandchild – each one being a special and unique miracle. Each one of us has a unique voice and mission in the world. No two are alike.

One of your gifts […]

Time to Choose

Last night I went to a book review with some amazing women. The book we had read was “Man’s Search For Meaning” by Victor Frankl. What an incredible man. The insight and wisdom and life lessons are too numerous to mention. But the one that stands out in my mind is that we all have a choice as to how we want to live each day. We can choose to see what is going wrong or we can choose to see value in everything that happens….even the really tough stuff. As I read his […]
